The ThinKom ThinSat 300 is a Ku Band phased array satellite terminal based on ThinKom’s patented Variable Inclination Continuous Transverse Stub (VICTS) phased array antenna technology. The ThinKom ThinSat 300 Ku Band Phased Array Satellite Antenna is capable of providing high speed data rates; supporting broadband data, voice and video connectivity for ground vehicles used in news media and broadcasters, disaster recovery, boarder security, surveillance and security, trains and public transit industries.
The ThinSat 300 Ku Band Phased Array is an ultra-low profile Satellite On The Move antenna system measuring only 12cm high by 150 cm long ensuring the terminal can be fitted to a wide variety of vehicles and platforms. ThinKom has leveraged their VICTS technology to uniquely enable commercial air transport and general business aviation connectivity offering 2x-10x higher performance at half the size and one-third the aerodynamic drag, relative to other commercially available products.

World Solar Challenge Race: Years 2017 and 2019 has seen the World Solar Challenge Race (WSCR) from Darwin to Adelaide, greatly enhanced the support capabilities of race-crews associated with the event. In 2019, the Vattenfall Solar Team support vehicle utilised the ThinSat-300 terminal provide streaming ‘live’ video for the entire 5-day trip from several of its teams vehicles. Apart from continuous online media updates from team and support members, observers world-wide via 2-way social media, were also able to communicate live with the crew members during the race.
