Description
The Orbital Tri-Band L, S, & X Band Receive Only Feedhorn is a concentric X Band, S Band, and L Band feedhorn complete with low noise amplifiers and downconverters for all three bands. The Orbital Tri-Band L, S, & X Band Receive Only Feedhorn’s X Band downconverter is fully synthesised, and the L Band and S Bands are block downconverted.
Orbital Tri-Band L, S, & X Band Receive Only Feedhorn Applications:
- Reception of X-, S- and L-Band EOS-DB satellites, including satellites that downlink simultaneously in X- and S- Band, or L- Band
- Reception of NOAA and DMSP satellites including reverse polarity NOAA satellites
Orbital Tri-Band L, S, & X Band Receive Only Feedhorn Features:
- Concentric X-, S-, and L Band feed on a common axis eliminates loss and pointing issues of off axis multi-band feeds
- X Band feed operates fixed RHCP
- S and L Band feed software selectable LHCP or RHCP
- Simultaneous reception of X- and S- or L- Band signals
- Heavy duty aluminium enclosure, powder coated and assembled with stainless steel fasteners to eliminate external corrosion
- Complete feed control and monitoring via serial RS-422 data link
- Pressurised feed with temperature and humidity sensors as well as a built in purge valve to ventilate the entire antenna when excess humidity is detected in the electrical cabinet or feed

Orbital Systems provides a wide range of antenna feeds for Earth Observation Satellites (EOS) Direct Broadcast (DB), Telemetry, Tracking and Control (TT&C), and general telemetry applications. All Orbital feeds are made of the highest quality materials and are enclosed in a heavy duty aluminium enclosure, powder coated and assembled with stainless steel fasteners to eliminate external corrosion. Orbital feeds are pressurized with temperature and humidity sensors, and built in purge valves to ventilate the feed when excess humidity is detected. STEP Electronics is the Australian and New Zealand distributor of Orbital Systems (now CPI SAT).
