For over 10 years Codan’s C-Band Transceiver family set the industry benchmark for high reliability satellite transceivers operating with a 70 MHz or 140 MHz Intermediate Frequency (IF). A standard system comprises a Converter Module, Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA), Low Noise Amplifier and rugged external AC power supply. The multi-box approach is exceptionally reliable, provides customers with great flexibility, and continues to be the Transceiver of choice for global system integrators and service providers.

Comtech’s C-Band transceivers provide a "single box solution" for up to 100W P1dB transmit power. Higher power systems are available with separate Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs). Independently tuned up and down synthesizers using patented analog/digital PLL technology provide the same performance advantages as our rack-mount converters. Transceivers with Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) on the receive side provide the ultimate in low-noise, stable, downlink performance.

For the uplink side of Ku-Band installations, we offer split converter/SSPA systems, which provide mounting flexibility for smaller Ku-Band antennas. The receive side can include an LNA for full frequency coverage, or a choice of Low Noise Block (LNB) converters if the operating band is known. Both configurations are feed-mounted, with or without a Transmit Reject Filter (TRF), with solutions tailored to meet the needs of mobile/transportable or fixed station uses.

The ACSAT-X10W is an integrated RF transceiver, designed for X-Band satellite communication systems and 70/140 MHz IF band. The ACSAT-X10W is consisting of a RF Up Converter with a RF Down Converter. This equipment has been tested and calibrated between -40º and +60ºC, so they assure very good gain stability with temperature. It also includes a temperature alarm and power supply shutdown to protect the amplifier from permanent damages when temperature exceeds 80ºC. Moreover, ACSAT-X series allows RS-232 or RS-485 communication for monitoring alarms, gain control, operating temperature, etc.

The MBT-4000 is a unique, outdoor Multi-Band RF transceiver. It performs C-, X- or Ku-Band to L-Band down conversion and L-Band to C-, X-, or Ku-Band up conversion. Band-specific Block Up or Block Down Converters are fastened to the base unit with quick-release fasteners. To change operating bands, simply release the quarter turn hasps and replace the blocks with new units. The rugged construction of the MBT-4000 is ideal for mobile and transportable applications.
